Introducing our new theatre!!

We decided yesterday that we should put in our theatre system. (We are celebrating that we sold our first spec home.) So off we went to spend gobs of money and buy the equipment needed for our theatre room. Here we are. Kendall wanted everyone to see how big the screen is next to a human body. So we put the two smallest in our family next to it so you can see how big it is.
Who said you needed a finished basement to enjoy a good movie?
This is where we will probably be for the next month. So if we don't answer our phone it is because we can't hear you! ( We have a killer subwoofer and you can't hear much other than the movie.) Also a great big THANK YOU to my brother Derek who is our super duper electrician. He helped us put it in.

Primary Activity Day

Yesterday was Madeline's primary activity. She was very shy at first but then Jessa showed up with her VanOrden cousins and made Madeline's day!

Home Study

Today we are getting ready for our home study for the adoption. All the chemicals, medicine, and other bad stuff needs to be put up high or locked away. I hope we pass with flying colors. I am a little worried about the ditch being a problem.
We met with the caseworker yesterday and we are still filling out paperwork. There is a ton of paperwork! It is getting more exciting the further we get into the process. The further we go the more reassured I feel.

Our "summer" vacation

Yep... that is a picture of our "summer" vacation. We went to the cabin to stay a few nights and see a few sights. We decided to stay one night since all the things we wanted to see involved the outdoors and by golly we are just tired of the cold weather. So we hung out at the cabin and watched movies and just had a good time with eachother.

Big Announcement!!

As many of you know we have been trying to have another baby for two years now. After the miscarriage a year and half ago we still haven't gotten pregnant so we have decided to adopt. Kendall and I both feel very strongly that this is what we are supposed to do. We are filling out paper work right now and hope that we will have a new little one in our arms soon. Madeline is very excited at the prospects of adopting that long awaited baby. I know she will be an awesome big sister!

Salt Lake City!

For Memorial day we went to Utah and stayed at a resort in Wolf Creek. It was about 20 minutes away from Ogden and it was beautiful! Here is a picture of the lake near our resort.
Madeline enjoyed the kid's discovery center where they had a grocery store and house! They had other things but Madeline pretty much played in one spot.
She loved the water feature in the middle of the Gateway mall. Kendall walked her through all the of the dry spots.
