Water Park

Our friend Athena invited us to go to tthe water park and go swimming with them. We had a great time! Madeline has been taking swimming lessons and has gotten a lot more comfortable in the water. She still has a ways to go before she is fearless but we are getting there.

Madeline and her little friend Dax. He is about the cutest little kid ever.

They spent forever just racing in and out of the water. Madeline would count and when she got past 2 Dax would yell "DOH" (go), and they would both run into the water. For some reason that was the fun-nest thing to do.

Madeline was practicing her back float. I don't think her bum ever left the bottom of the pool. As far as she is concerned that is what a back float should be.

My favorite part was floating in the river area and cuddling with Madeline. Such a sweet girl of mine!

It was a cold rainy day for the circus

We went to the circus a week ago and we thought it was going to be indoors.  Well when we arrived it was outdoors.... and this is what it looked like!  See that dark ominous cloud?

Everybody else must have realized that it was outdoors and decided against coming.  Chickens.

So we bought some cotton candy.

The girls really enjoyed the clown and that was about all we saw before it started pouring rain and it was canceled.
We finished off with dinner at IHOP and went home.

Madeline and her cousin had a great time anyway.  They always have fun when they are together.

Girls Day

On Friday afternoon Kendall headed off to his annual Father and sons outing.. I hate this trip because I HATE being by myself. He loves it and I try to be brave and be okay but the poor guy usually feels bad that he is leaving me. Any way I was determined not to let his being gone depress me. So Madeline and I called a friend and headed to dinner and some shopping. We had a great time! Buying a new outfit will always make you feel better. Thanks for coming with us Courtney!

On Saturday, we celebrated Pride days with the snowmobile races across the lake. Madeline and I packed up and headed to the lake to watch.

They also had some planes that would fly over and impress everybody.

While we were there we got a phone call from my brother Derek and sister Sarah. They showed up to watch the races with us.

It started to rain so we headed to the museum. I had been there before on a mutual trip and had to show everybody this picture.

It is the scariest picture I have ever seen.

Tell me the truth... does it freak you out?

A little family history. This is Kendall's great great grandpa's house.

Madeline and Derek touching the untouchables.

I love this picture! How cute is that!?!

After a long day of having fun Madeline and I headed home and pulled out all the pillows and blankets and watched a movie. Kendall came home soon after and we all got to cuddle and watch a movie. We survived the two days and one night without him and now we have a whole year until next time. Phew!

Lagoon!!!

We met up with some of Kendall's mission companions and their families and went to Lagoon.  We had a great time with the Broadbents and Hadleys.
Madeline had a blast and went on some big rides.   Her favorite was Tidal Wave.

This is Cameron, Carson, Boston, and Madeline
She was a lone girl with this big bunch of boys but she had a great time.

In this picture she is communicating with her eyes to her dad "what in the heck do I do now?".

She was tired of being in pictures at this point.

The favorite ride Tidal Wave.  Cameron and Carson are having a ball!   Sorry Dave, Kendall couldn't seem to get you in the picture.

After a long day we headed home sweet home.

And a goofy picture just for fun.

Redo of Memorial day

A few weekends ago we had a redo day of our desert trip.  We took my brothers and my dad and went out to see the old bombing ranges.   Much more exciting for the boys than for me.

Kendall and my brother Derek checking out their finds.
Landen
Kendall with his flares.  He really doesn't know what they are but is guessing that they are flares.  Someday we will light them.

This is what we went out to see.  Lots and lots of 'em.  See why I was so thrilled.

The coolest part of the day for me was going to see the caves.  But a few people ( we won't name names) didn't take the turn like the rest of us and got lost.    So this cave below was the only one we saw before we had to go play search and rescue.

The Zoo

We have been so busy the last few weeks that we haven't had time to post all that we have been doing.
Madeline and I joined my family for some zoo fun.   We had some cousins come from Wyoming and Madeline had a blast with them.

Here she is with Sierra and Kylee.    Sierra is going to be 12 this year can you believe it!?!  She is so tiny.  At the very bottom is Kennedy.  She is about the cutest thing ever.

Here is Landen( he is 15 and SO excited to be there), my mom and my sister Anna with my cousin's little baby Olivia.

Madeline enjoying some cuddles with Olivia.  She just loves babies.
