Madeline had her cousins over yesterday for a girl party. After lunch they all wanted strawberry milk. This is Madeline's favorite past time and the reason we have not had any broken bones. She calls it a "daw milk" since she was one year old because that is how she said drink. Well now she is four and knows how to say drink but strawberry milk in our house will forever be known as a "daw milk". Here are the ladies enjoying their milk.

Somebody had a great day!
Madeline and I went shopping yesterday and she decided that she was ready to pierce her ears. I told her all the things she would have to do, such as cleaning her ears twice a day and being prepared for them to be a little sore for a few days. She thought about it through a few more stores and asked a few more questions before gathering the resolve to do it. She picked out these pretty pink flowers and held very still for the ladies to do it. She didn't even flinch, I was so proud. She loves them. After she was done she says " Mom I love my new ears! I am just so excited to have new ears!" . I love your new ears too kiddo.

Miracle baby

I just wanted to share this story and ask for everybody's prayers. This is my cousin's baby Emry. She has some pretty serious things wrong and needs all the prayers she can get. They found out early in the pregnancy that she had heart problems. Her heart rate has been about 57 bpm. Extremely low for a baby. You can read more about her here. Please remember her in your prayers. This little angel needs a miracle.

Wisdom teeth
Yesterday I had my wisdom teeth removed. I was freaking out the whole day. I hate pain, in fact that is an understatement, I loathe pain. I won't do anything fun if it means that at some point there could be pain involved. In other words I am a huge chicken. It is amazing that I was convinced to have a child because that was some intense pain and believe me after 35 hours of labor I KNOW pain. Well my wisdom teeth were causing a significant amount of pain so I decided since they already hurt I might as well get this over with. So I went to the sedation dentistry people and was given a happy little pill to put me to sleep. I took one an hour before the visit and they would give me another one while I was there. The out spoken secretary looks at me when I arrived and said "You are so tiny... and they gave you a WHOLE pill!" I didn't know what to say so I nodded and went to use the restroom. The lady continues with "I was bigger than you when I was three!" I always compare this with someone coming up to a fat person and saying "You are SO big. Did you know you were so big? " It is rude people and I get tired of hearing it. Anyway continuing on... they had to give me 3 pills! Yes ladies and gentlemen THREE pills. They kept waiting for me to fall asleep and I mentioned that maybe I am too nervous to fall asleep and they tell me that usually all their patients are asleep by now. Yikes is there something wrong with me? The dentist guesses that I have a fast metabolism and gives me another pill. Out like a light. I remember nothing until 8:00 pm that night. Apparently I was a riot though. Kendall felt like he was in charge of an incoherent mental patient all night. I told him I needed three pills to go to sleep about 7 times and each time he just nodded his head and said " you already told me that". I guess that was the part I was the most excited about. I slept like a log all night. So thank you sedation dentistry. Today I feel like a million bucks! Although as you can see from the picture I felt a lot worse. No memory of it though! The blurriness is a gift from Kendall.

Nothing like a new dress
I love this dress and one of these days I am going to build up my nerve to buy it! Until it goes on sale I will just dream about it and imagine the red heels that would look awesome with it. Hey Kendall... my birthday is a few months away and here, here, and here are a few hints. I know I am dreaming big on a few of these items but hey a girl can dream big. ;-) Oh and Kendall... your birthday is a few weeks away and I would really love a few very detailed hints!

Happy New Years
We had an awesome New Year's Eve. Madeline as you can see has recently discovered the wonderful world of showers. She also discovered how wonderful and funny it is to squish her cheek on the glass. This is how she started her New Year's Eve.
We hosted the New Year's Party and we had a great time. We pulled out Rock Band and the guys had a great time playing and singing some rock and roll. It was so funny.
The kids even had a great time.
Madeline in her toy box, slightly overwhelmed.
Hello 2009!
