Hot Springs

We went to the Hot Springs the other day and had a blast! Madeline made some huge progress in the swimming department. Usually she just sits on the side of the pool because she is too afraid. She started out scared but by the time we left she was having a ball! At one point we almost had the pool to ourselves! We also learned an important lesson... Don't leave Dad alone with your sandwich unless he is still eating his. You will come back to it noticeably smaller. He says while he wasn't looking somebody must have snatched a few bites. Right!

Having WAY to much fun!

Sorry to bore you with more pictures but I am having way to much fun. We decided since we were out taking pictures we might as well get some of the rest of us.
If you look closely at Madeline in the picture of the three of us she looks like a train is after her. Her face just says RUN!

Beautiful Sister

This is my gorgeous sister.  She wanted some updated pictures and I was way excited to do them for her.  Last time I took her pictures it was over two years ago and I have learned a ton since then.
Anna you are way to cute for your own good!

Random things

Here is what Madeline wore to church on Sunday.  Thankfully she took her sunglasses off when we walked in.
In her hands is the gold panning book Kendall was using.  We made her leave that in the car.
Here is our new imac.  I have to say the resolution is incredible!  I don't know if the picture does it justice.  The images are so clear and beautiful.  Can you tell I am in love!?!

Panning for gold in Mackay

We went to Mackay on Saturday and had an awesome time!  Kendall bought a seat for the back of the four wheeler and all three of us had a comfortable ride.    Kendall was excited to pan for gold.  (I don't know why)   I brought a book and Madeline brought her fishing pole.  We had a picnic lunch and just relaxed.   Kendall took us on a ride that started out very nice and easy.  As we passed other riders and asked about the trail we received comments that it was pretty rough.  We had THREE warnings and Kendall kept going.  We made it and Kendall was confident the whole way.  I on the other hand woke up the next morning with a stiff neck from being so tense the whole time!  Madeline loved it and even fell asleep on the ride back to the truck.

For some reason I couldn't open the pictures in photoshop but we have a new imac and it has some awesome photo editing.   Still not photoshop but hey it works.  My photoshop says it cannot open the document with our Mackay pictures.  If any of you know what this means let me know.  It opens everything else just fine.  I have no idea what I did.   Oh well hopefully it will work next time!

Scout Mountain

On Wednesday Kendall took Madeline and me to the the top of Scout Mountain.  It was so fun and the view was incredible.   Madeline even got a new helmet for the ride.  She looked so cute.

Night at the park

Last night we took Madeline to the park and she had a ball! I love summer evenings. A picture of Kendall and I courtesy of Madeline. She is a ready made photographer.

Kendall looks thrilled because he threw his back out last night and he was hurting. Madeline thanks him for the sacrifice.

Grateful

I just wanted to post to express my feelings about my family. Somebody sent me this video and it really touched me. I am so grateful for our little Madeline. I have come to realize how special and important family is. Those children that come to you are miracles whether they come easily or not. I am thankful for birth moms that are so willing to give that gift to another family. They are the most incredible people. I am thankful for the things I have learned as we have struggled to grow our family. It has caused me to linger a little longer in Madeline's room and watch her sleep. . . thinking of how special she is and how lucky we are to have her in our family. It has made me stay longer on my knees seeking comfort and expressing my thankfulness for that special child that is already in my arms. I am so so grateful for my wonderful husband. Kendall is my best friend and has always been there to help me. He is truly my soul mate. I love him so much. Isn't she beautiful!?!
