Little Man gets his hair cut.

Our little Max got his first haircut!   Finally after 21 months of growing hair, he finally had enough hair to warrant a trim.   Of course just the back needed the trim we left the top to keep growing.

As you can see he really enjoyed it!

9 Years of Wedded Bliss

Kendall and I took off for the weekend to celebrate our 9th anniversary.
He was the MAN and surprised me with a super nice suite at a nice hotel.
We dropped the kids off at my mom's house and took off for our weekend away.

We stopped on our drive and ate at the best restaurant.  It was super good and they bring you the best rolls.  And they KEEP bringing them!  We had a bunch to take home with us.

After lunch we drove to the mall to get Kendall some new clothes!  I don't know if  any of you have noticed, but he is getting super skinny and buff.  He would be mad if I didn't mention buff.
 P90X baby!
After shopping Kendall took me to the hotel where he told me I was going to be in for a great surprise.

I was surprised!  The room was beautiful!

After checking the room our we went to dinner and checked out a movie at the mall.   It was so fun!

Part of the room excitement for me was the room service.   But then I checked out the price and it was going to cost $48!!   So Kendall figured out that there was a Denny's close by and called and ordered breakfast to go.   He ran two blocks to get it, so that I could lounge in bed.

My Room Service:

I got to eat breakfast in my soft robe and slippers.

Our room.

After breakfast we checked out and went Christmas shopping and checked out Ikea.
I found a bunch of great things.  Love that store!

When we got home the best gift of all waited for us.

Kendall had his cabinet guys finish our office!

It is so nice to have this room finally organized.   I love it!

Thank you Kendall!  I have had an amazing 9 years with you.

Marathon Man

Kendall has really been into running for about a year and a half.  He LOVES it.  He decided to run a half marathon with his friend Kent.   He has seriously been talking about it for a month straight.

I will just say that this is a passion I don't quite understand.  Running has never been enjoyable for me.

The morning of the race we woke up to snow.  Did it damper Kendall's excitement?
Not in the least.

The kids and I planned on being there about an hour and a half after the race started so we could see him finish.

We stopped and ate lunch at McDonalds.

After lunch we headed to the race.   Apparently we took too much time because we missed seeing him finish.
It was cold and slick.  But Kendall did it!!
He ran it in 1 hour and 51 minutes.  Not too shabby.  He finished 18th in his age group.

You rock babe!

Halloween

Max had to have some pre Halloween treats and his whole mouth and hands turned green from a fun dip Madeline gave to him.

We went to our local trunk or treat and it was FREEZING!  Madeline and Max both had a blast though.

They are pirates this year.  Aren't they the cutest?

Max is a little dazed from the whole thing and confused as to why that darn hat is back on his head.

Happy Halloween!
