Just a day in the life.. or a few days.

I am starting to think it was a bad idea to put the baking ingredients at the same level as the littles.

This boy loves to do the dishes and play in the water.  He usually ends up naked at the end of it because he hates getting his clothes wet.

Max loves to play on the computer.

Look at my handsome men helping do the chores.  I just love them.

Shower time - M and M style

This is a reminder of how each child is so different.   Look at how Mitch has water dripping down his face...   Notice Max wearing a shower cap so his hair doesn't get wet at all.   Mitch is totally fine with water all over his face while Max on the other hand would be fit to be tied.

Also notice Max's toe nails.  He painted those himself on the carpet and surprisingly did not get any on the carpet.

These are some cute kids!

Date night with mom

Max, Madeline, and I went on a date to see Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and get some frozen yogurt afterwards.  It was so fun.  I just love spending time with these two!

Baby Girl

On February 21, 2014 the boys' bio sister was born. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz and was 20 inches long.  Because of circumstances between her birth mom and dad she was immediately placed in foster care.  Kendall and I felt strongly about adopting her.  But working with foster care in Minnesota and us living in Idaho, would be an obstacle we would have to jump through. For the first week it was nearly impossible for us to talk to anyone.  I was feeling despair and Kendall and I decided to go the temple and pray about our course of action.  I felt very strongly that we were the ones that were suppose to fight for her.  A few days later we received a phone call from Sarah, Maelee's caseworker.  She explained that there were obstacles and she couldn't promise us anything but that we would indeed be considered a choice for an adoption as they like to keep biological siblings together.  That was another answer to prayers.
Sarah sent us these pictures when Maelee (the name we picked for her) was a little over a week old.

We sent her foster family some gifts and clothes for Maelee and a little note.
This is Maelee with her stuffed elephant.

What a sweet girl.  How badly I just want to reach in a touch her and kiss her.

Max turns 4!

For Max's fourth birthday he wanted a Frozen birthday cake.  So we made an ice cream cake and it was the easiest cake we have ever made!

We also had our wonderful friend Diane make a cute little Olaf for the top.

Boys and their messes

The boys and their imaginations!

Uh oh, Mitch discovered the sugar drawer.

Max was helping me exercise.  He is pretty good at it.

Let's clean the pantry!

Drawing on paper....

Turns into this...
