Memorial Day

This Memorial day we decided to take a motorcycle ride out on the desert with my brother and Kendall's dad.  The weather was beautiful at home so we thought it would be nice on the desert.  As we got closer we noticed a big black cloud, but it looked like it might be heading away from us so we continued on.  It had rained the day before at our house a little bit but it must have really rained out there because there were these huge puddles everywhere.
This guy however didn't go around the puddle enough and he got stuck.   I mean really stuck!
Kendall happened to have 3 shovels in the back and they dug him out and pulled a few times from the back and he didn't even budge so we moved to the front and pulled some more and finally he got out.
Needless to say we didn't go out on the motorcycles but we had a good time anyway.

Madeline's Music Recital

We put Madeline in a music class this last year called "Lets Play Music".   She really enjoyed it.  She is learning a ton and it should really help her when she starts an instrument.  She loved her teacher Miss Michelle.

Here she is playing the Primary Chords.

Receiving her diploma.

All of the kids.

Madeline after the event with chocolate all over her face.  They had really yummy treats if you can't tell.

Rainy May Morning

Today we woke up and decided to hurry and plant our garden because it is suppose to rain all day.   Kendall was the awesome man that "tilled" the ground with his trusty shovel.  Who needs a tiller?    Madeline and I planted peas, carrots, spinach, lettuce, and swiss chard.   We will plant the rest when it gets warmer.

Madeline loves a good excuse to pull out her umbrella.
Oh and we had to have the nose strip because Madeline gets "slightly panicked" if her nose is the  least bit plugged.  The nose strips have saved us from "full out panic".

She found these cool little shells and asked " how did they get here all the way from the ocean?"

I just love how green everything is this time of year!
She had to go out to work and show her dad her awesome shells.
