What a sweet mess!

Usually when I am at the computer Max is right there ready to pound on the keyboard and tear apart the mouse.
Today however I was having an all to peaceful computer moment thanks to

this.......

This is my favorite look.

Oh so sad when I had to shut the drawer.

A lock will be in order today.  He has been caught in this drawer before but never has he tasted of the goodness inside.   I have already pulled him out three times and it is only 11.

FHE

Last night we had a fabulous family night.    I copied this idea from a blog I follow, The Bubblegum Chronicles, who did this with her family.
We had a mission night that started with an Ecuadorian meal that Kendall picked out and I made called Encebollado.    It was a tuna soup with tomato and onion salsa.  Wasn't too bad considering the fact that we don't like fish.  Even Max enjoyed it.  The real enjoyment came from the fried plantains with cinnamon and sugar.

After dinner everyone sat down and Kendall explained why he served a mission and what you have to do to get ready.    Then everyone got a mission call.

Madeline- Spain Barcelona Mission
Max- Dominican Republic Santo Domingo West Mission
Mom and Dad- Stockholm Sweden Mission

Madeline and Max with their mission call.

We got the globe out and looked up where everyone was going and talked about what language we would have to learn.

After that we had a wonderful game of hide and seek.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a GREAT day!  Kendall and the kids totally rocked it!
It started with Kendall waking up with Max and letting me sleep in, then Madeline and her dad brought me breakfast in bed!   It was even a labor intensive meal... lemon blueberry pancakes.  They were delicious!

Kendall even missed his meetings so that he could stay home and be with us all day!  How sweet.

Me and my kiddos....
this is what Kendall considers a good picture.

And then he redeemed himself with this better picture.

But who am I to talk... I took the horrible Easter pictures. ;-)

I am so thankful for my beautiful children and the opportunity that I have to be their mother.  What a privilege it is to be called "mom", one that I hope I never again take for granted.
Love you Madeline and Max!
