Baptism Day

Dear Madeline,
I can't believe you have reached the special age of 8.  This is one of those milestone birthdays.  Here are some things I want to remember about 8.
You love to read,  you have read 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' probably 5 times.... the whole series.  You love to do projects and you like to make messes.  You are very creative but you prefer to work with people versus by your self.
You have an amazing smile.  It lights up your entire face and I love it when you use it.  You have hands down the best giggle in the entire world.  You are kind to others and you have a very loving spirit.  Sometimes you like to push my buttons and you know it.  I am a little bit worried about the teenage years.
You love being a big sister and you are pretty good at it.  You are usually pretty quick to help Max out.

You are so excited to be in third grade.  You have something wonderful to say about your teacher every single day.  We figure you think she is pretty close to super woman.   You listen to everything and are very observant, you don't miss anything.  You like to play the piano and you are starting to pick out songs by sound.

You are starting to build your own relationship with your Heavenly Father and are praying about big decisions in your life.  It makes me happy to see you relying on the Lord.  I hope you continue to build that relationship and know that God loves you and wants the best for you.

I love you baby girl!

Here are some details about your baptism.

Miss Madeline was baptized on September 1, 2012.
Her Great Grandma was able to travel a long distance just to give a talk at her baptism.  She has gives the most beautiful talk about baptism and she has done it for almost all of the grandkids and almost all of the great grandkids.  Madeline is pretty lucky to have her great grandmother there to do that.  I wish I would have gotten a picture.
Madeline also asked her Grandpa to give a talk and he did a great job.  It was a very wonderful day and I hope Madeline always remembers how special it was.

Madeline played 'I know my Savior's Love'.

Here are some pictures we got of her the week of her baptism in her white dress.

Kendall was able to baptize and confirm her and it was so special as I watched the two of them go into the font and Madeline looked up to her dad and trusted him to not let go.  She was so nervous going in but when she came up out of the water she had the biggest grin.  I helped her out and she immediately said "I want to do that again!".

We had to get a picture of her with glasses and with out because she has the most beautiful eyes that light up.  You can't see those with glasses!
