Oregon Day 6

Astoria

We drove to Astoria on Monday to see where they filmed the classic movie the Goonies.   

This is the longest bridge ever.... the bridge to no where.  

Here are some better pictures of the bridge.  It actually goes to Washington.  

We had to visit the Astoria tower and Madeline was so excited to climb to the very top.   I was a little worried that she wouldn't make it to the top because I had a hard time when we climbed it back in January.   

I shouldn't have been worried she practically ran up them.   When she got back down she said " Gosh Mom, there was even this old lady who was like 40 who could do it!"

After we saw everything in Astoria we hit the aquarium in Seaside.

Yeah, she wasn't so sure she wanted to hold it after she saw what seal food was.  

The biggest lobster ever!

The kids got to touch and feel some the sea creatures.  

That evening I was determined to get our family pictures by the beach.  

I had a new wireless shutter remote that was suppose to take pictures.   Did it work?

Nope.  At least not when I expected it too.  I should have practiced more before the actual moment.  

So I ended up using the timer.  

Here are some random fun ones.   Plus the one on top that is my new header. 

Unfortunately it was a little too dark so they are a little bit grainy.  I am going to see what I can do with them so that I can have a nice one to frame.  

And here is the one that made the final cut.  

Hopefully it can handle being blown up and put on my wall.
