Day Four
Tillamook, Oregon.
We drove to Tillamook to take the kids to the Tillamook cheese factory and stop at the Tillamook Air Museum. There was no way we were taking the kids inside the air museum. Too expensive and they would not have appreciated it. But they enjoyed seeing how big the building was and the airplane they had outside.
During WWII they built these massive buildings to store blimps. They could hold I think up to 8 blimps inside. I am telling you the building is HUGE.
Here we are at the Cheese Factory. We ate lunch there and then we went through the tour.
After the tour we had to try some ice cream.
Pretty delicious.
After Tillamook we drove to Cannon Beach.
And Cannon Beach was
COLD!
Max was pulling up his shorts so they wouldn't get wet.
After we froze at Cannon Beach we drove north to our destination for the rest of the vacation.... Seaside!
And Seaside was much warmer!
The thing I love about Seaside is that it seems to be timeless. It looks the same as it has back in the early 1900's. The same boardwalk and quaint little buildings. In fact on Sunday they had a church band come to the beach and they played all these old songs. It was so fun and like we went back in time.
Max immediately fell in love with the sand.
Our condo we stayed in.
Madeline LOVED the ocean.
And looking for sea shells.
Max's first time in the ocean. He loved it!
Notice his little hands full of wet sand?
He loves it . Mom not so much.
We played until Max fell down and got all wet. It wasn't warm enough that day to be all wet. So we went back and dried off.
After we dried off we hit the town.
We found this quaint little carousel and we had to ride it.
Max had a blast and screamed his head off when we left.
This is how you ride a horse.
